The Office of Black Ministries is dedicated to the strengthening of Black congregations, especially in the areas of stewardship, evangelism and leadership development. They seek to enhance the quality of life for Blacks in the Episcopal Church, helping to ensure Blacks are represented at all levels of life. They concentrate on recruiting Black persons into ordained ministries, acting as liaison and enabling Black congregations and organizations to be agents of social change in their communities.
