The Reverend Dr. Sjoerd L. Bonting, S.O.Sc., Episcopal priest and biochemist from the Netherlands will be in Tennessee in March to lecture and preach on a variety of science-and-religion topics at the University of the South (Sewanee) and at Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Bonting is the author of Creation and Evolution: Attempt at Synthesis (Kok, Kampen, 1996; 2nd ed. 1997 [Dutch]), Humanity, Chaos, Reconciliation (Kok, Kampen, 1998 [Dutch]); Between Belief and Unbelief (Meinema, Zoetermeer, 2000 [Dutch]); and Chaos Theology: A Revised Creation Theology (Novalis, Ottawa, 2002). He is a frequent lecturer on these topics.

Friday, 12 March: Biochemistry seminar (jointly sponsored with Biology Department), "Critique of Intelligent Design." 2:30PM, Blackman Auditorium, Woods Laboratories, University of the South, Alabama Ave.
Sunday, 14 March, 8 and 11 a.m., preaching at All Saints' Chapel, University of the South, University Ave.
Monday, 15 March, 4:30 p.m. Public Lecture, "Evil in an Evolutionary World." Convocation Hall, University of the South, corner of University and Georgia Ave.
Wednesday, 17 March, 4 p.m. Public lecture, " Science-Religion Dialogue: Application of Chaos Theology." Vanderbilt University (hosted by Dr. Leonard Hummel, Asst. Professor of Pastoral Counseling and Pastoral Theology, Vanderbilt Divinity School).
