Station
A place where a solemn liturgical procession pauses for a versicle, a response, and a collect. A "stational collect" is the collect that is sung or said at this time. The BCP provides a collect for a station at the Palm Sunday service (p. 271-272). This may be done at the entrance to the church. The BOS also provides forms for a Station at a Christmas Crèche, a Station at a Candlemas Procession, and for the fourteen stations in the Way of the Cross (also known as "Stations of the Cross").
