'After graduating from Wheaton College, IL., I put my ‘impractical’ major, Theology, to work right away.  Through God’s guiding hands and YASC, I was able to become a teacher at the Holy Spirit School, Tela, Honduras. I was given the immense task to shape the minds of future leaders of Honduras as the school’s Literature, Bible and Philosophy teacher. Astonishingly, only about nine percent graduate from high schools and even more shocking three percent enter universities. In contrast to such poor statistics, Holy Spirit boasts over 90% college entrance rate. I am often in awe at the responsibility of being a teacher in such a special school.  I pray and hope that God will use my thoughts, words and actions to guide and steer them to right directions."
