Sending Diocese: Massachusetts
After graduating from the George Washington University in 2001, Ranjit traveled to Cape Town, South Africa, where he was the assistant to the HIV/AIDS Ministries and Mission Office of the Anglican Church of the Province of Southern Africa. He served as the administrator for the office, organizing Strategic HIV/AIDS Planning Sessions for the different member dioceses. In addition to this, Ranjit worked with a group of young people on issues related to HIV/AIDS, and due to this activism and organizing the young people were able to form an NGO. Ranjit also worked with an NGO, named the Treatment Action Campaign, a group that lobbied the South African government to implement an HIV/AIDS mother to child treatment prevention program.
