The Anglican Consultative Council (ACC), the main legislative body of the Anglican Communion that represents the voice of the inner life of the provinces, is one of the four instruments of unity. The 13th meeting of the ACC -- abbreviated as ACC-13 -- is being held June 19-28 at the University of Nottingham, England. A comprehensive agenda will address pertinent global issues such as poverty, disease and injustice, as well as ongoing conversations regarding ecumenical affairs, mission and evangelism, theological education, women's issues, among others. International guests, many of whom will bring greetings from other denominations, will be welcomed throughout the council meeting. News and resources pertaining to ACC-13 are featured below.
Archbishop of Canterbury sees collaborative way forward

Archbishop of Canterbury preaches at ACC Eucharist in Nottingham
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams, delivered a sermon at medieval St. Mary's Church in Nottingham June 26, where members and guests of the Anglican Consultative Council gathered for Eucharist. In his sermon, Dr. Williams called the congregation to live out the Gospel, and to attend to matters of global concern in advance of the upcoming G-8 summit.

Audio and Video Streams: Episcopalians Respond To Windsor Report
Presiding Bishop Frank Griswold joined six representatives from the Episcopal Church June 21 to address the 13th meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council. The presentation, made at the request of the ACC, outlined how it has been possible for the Episcopal Church to elect and ordain a bishop living in committed same-gender relationship. Introduced by Griswold, the presenters describe contexts and experiences of human sexuality.

Chairman's Address to ACC
ACC Chair, Bishop John Paterson of Auckland, New Zealand, addressed the 13th meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council June 21 upholding the importance of unity throughout the Anglican Communion and welcoming Canon Kenneth Kearon as its new secretary general.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams, celebrated the Eucharist and installed Canon Kenneth Kearon as secretary general of the Anglican Communion.

A report from the Anglican Communion Environmental Network (APJN) was presented to the 13th meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council June 23, citing severe droughts and flooding, eroding mountaintop snow caps and other examples of global warming.
