[Episcopal News Service]  In preparation for upcoming reports on Episcopalians marking the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II, the Episcopal News Service asks its readers for their thoughts, reflections, anecdotes and stories related to the war, its conclusion, and its intersections with the life of the Episcopal Church and local congregations.

Submissions are requested by July 27, either by e-mail to news@episcopalchurch.org, or by postal mail to the Episcopal News Service, 815 Second Avenue, New York, NY 10017.

Stories from WWII veterans and others among "the Greatest Generation" are especially welcomed, as are observations about subsequent military initiatives, including those currently ongoing in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Further details on current Episcopal Church ministries within the Armed Services -- including chaplaincies overseen by Bishop Suffragan George Packard -- are posted online at www.ecusa-chaplain.org.

The upcoming ENS reports will form the beginning of a permanent archive maintained by the news service. The reporting has been ongoing since the recent anniversary of V-E Day (May 8, 1945) and will continue through the approaching anniversary of V-J Day (August 6, 1945).
