PANAMA CITY, PANAMA: Latin America Anglican Theological Congress --- The Latin America Anglican Theological Congress, a new initiative coordinated by a sub-commission of the Commission on Theological Education for Latin America and the Caribbean (CETALC) will meet October 5-10, 2005 at the Hotel El Panama in Panama City, Panama to discuss globalization and its meaning for Latin America. NEW YORK CITY: New York ECVA Artists Express their Faith --- The New York Chapter of ECVA (The Episcopal Church and Visual Arts) will have their first "hard copy" exhibition, "The Vision Glorious," at the General Theological Seminary, 175 Ninth Avenue, between 20th and 21st Streets from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The exhibition will through October 28, 2005. CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS: Faith and the Millennium Development Goals --- Boston Theological Institute, Episcopal Divinity School (EDS) and Bread for the World Institute have collaborated to present a series of lectures on Faith and the Millennium Development Goals. David Beckmann, president of Bread for the World, begins the series at EDS' Sherrill Hall, from 7-8:30 p.m., with "Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger." CLEVELAND, OHIO: Poetic Medicine with John Fox --- Trinity Episcopal Cathedral continues its fall education offerings with John Fox. Fox, a poet and certified poetry therapist, will hold a workshop after the 11:15 a.m. service that he describes as a "supportive and safe place to express yourself within the container of a poem."

 

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA: National Coming Out Day is celebrated --- St. Wilfrid of York Parish will observe "National Coming Out Day" at 7 p.m. in the chapel. The theme is "Now I Become Myself."
