Increased Development Assistance, Fair Trade and Reducing Debt
Encourage the endorsement of the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals and reaffirm challenging all dioceses and congregations to contribute 0.7% of budget to fund international development programs. (GC 2003)
Call on the Church to adopt and implement ethical principles for international economic development, including partnership, respect, empowerment, oneness with creation, distributive justice and people-centered development. (GC 2000)
