Cindy Rybovich tells us about the Tri-Parish Council Jubilee Center in West Palm Beach, Florida that sponsors an after school enrichment program for children Kindergarten through Third Grade.
“For Earth Day, we took the children into the Everglades.  We enjoyed an airboat ride through "the sea of grass" with a guide who could call the birds down from the skies and knew the alligators by name.  Wild creatures would come right up to the boat or land on his outstretched arm (that would be a bird, not the alligators on his arm).  I've never seen anything like it!  The Everglades are not far from us but this trip was a first for all of our children -- and most of our staff.  They enjoyed an exciting introduction to a wild and sacred place.”

Abel Lopez from All Saints Church in Pasadena shares these photos of their Earth Day celebration.
