Always have a “leave-behind” when you are having a meeting with a elected official or their staff. Two reasons – if your meeting gets cut short, they still get your message in the concise one pager; even if you get your full meeting, it gives the member and staff a concise summary of your position that they can reference later. Tip: Wait till the end of the meeting to hand over your “leave-behind.” More |
