Activities

A way to share our love with others is to give a gift. Take a moment and remember all the love God has given to us in the birth of Jesus. We invite you to create a special gift box to hold the coins or money that you would like to offer to the ministries in the Diocese of Jerusalem.

You might want to create the gift box first, before you share all the wonderful stories. So search your house for a special box: a food carton, jewelry box, milk carton, small cardboard box, oatmeal box. Something special. Or order gift boxes from Episcopal Parish Services (800-903-5544). You can make stickers for your gift box by printing out the sticker sheet on labels on your home printer or if you don't have labels, print on normal paper and use glue or tape to stick the picutres on and decorate the box.

You might want to wrap it in tissue paper first, and then place your stickers in a design or pattern you think is beautiful. You might want to choose a special ribbon to tie around the box. Make sure you are able to open the box to place in your weekly offering. You will notice that the stickers also include Treasure Bear. You might want to use the Treasure Bear Stickers to mark the day that you and your family will be sharing the stories and activities. After you have completed the stories, you may gather all your gift boxes during worship. Parents: you might want to read the special "Message for Parents".
