The Justice for Women Working Group has served the NCCC for almost 25 years offering leadership and resources for education and advocacy. The Working Group is made up of representatives from member communions and related faith groups who share a commitment to working together ecumenically, bringing special focus to projects that can be realistically implemented with limited resources and creative joint work. The Justice for Women Working Group actively seeks to be racially and ethnically diverse, and advocates within our denominations and the NCCC to work for these goals. Primarily, denominational staff work together ecumenically, in partnerships with others, to accomplish specific goals and implement programs that contribute to justice for women in an ecumenical context. These build on, strengthen, and enhance but not duplicate denominational or other ecumenical efforts. We hold to the commitment to not do separately that which we can best do together. Our history celebrates that what we do together makes a difference.
