Document Description: When the canons describe the duties of the clergy they read: "It shall be the duty of the clergy in charge of a cure of souls to ensure that children, youth and adults receive instruction in the Holy Scriptures, in the subjects contained in An Outline of the Faith, commonly called the Catechism, and in the doctrine, disciple and worship of the Church and in the exercise of their ministry as baptized persons."
