Document Description: Catechesis comes from the Greek root of a verb, meaning "to cause to sound in the ear," or, "to echo." We "sound" the biblical story and the stories of the tradition in the ears of the learners. Catechesis can be seen and understood as three intentional, interrelated, life-long processes: Formation, education, and instruction/training.
