The reflection paper from which this excerpt is taken was circulated and read beforehand by those who attended the Consultation on Children in the Liturgy. The author, as a member of the planning committee, developed the paper to bring into focus issues that would be necessary to consider during the four-day event. Ideas first expressed here were expanded by the consultation and are found throughout this resource.
Liturgy is communication .... How can we communicate more deeply and among a wider spectrum of God’s people? How can the “language” of liturgy be more accessible to the whole Christian community, especially to children?
