Scholarships from the Episcopal Church Center (DFMS):
There are a few undergraduate and graduate study scholarships available through the Episcopal Church Center—many of these are designated for very specific constituencies. A complete list can be downloaded from below. The deadline for DFMS scholarships is May 30 each year.
Unlike some other religious organizations, financial aid resources in the Episcopal Church have traditionally been dedicated at the local level, in some congregations and church-related schools and colleges. There is no general scholarship or student loan program operated by the Episcopal Church Center.
Some general scholarship advice from the Ministries with Young People Cluster:
Unless your projected financial aid package includes no grant aid either from your educational institution or another granting agency, applying for and receiving scholarships from outside sources may actually have no net effect on your financial aid package. Most colleges and universities will take outside grant aid into account and reduce their own grant to you in the same amount. While this might free up grant funds for another student, it may not benefit you directly.
If your financial aid package includes only college work-study and loans, you may be able to reduce your student loan burden by getting an outside scholarship.
