Resurrection House is an academic year internship for recent college graduates emphasizing vocational discernment, hands-on parish ministry, and community living. Three or four participants are annually selected to live in an intentional Christian community in a rehabilitated church vicarage on the grounds of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Omaha, NE.  The program includes 20 hours a week working with a rector in an Episcopal parish; 10 hours a week doing social outreach ministry in a multi-racial urban setting; and 10 hours per week in spiritual direction, community worship, theological study and reflection.  The application deadline is open.

Age Range: Recent College grads, ages 21—30 years

Medical Insurance Coverage: Full healthcare allowance; must be insurance eligible and in sound physical and emotional health

Type of housing provided: Individual bedroom with shared living space irecently remodeled church rectory

Transportation provided: Must bring own vehicle. Transportation allowance provided.

Type of work/volunteer placements: Parish assignment/community outreach site

Student Loan Deferment: Yes, but not affiliated with AmeriCorp.

Community Life: Simple living commitment as well as an agreed upon Rule of Life. Daily prayer and worship, retreats, community meals and regular business meetings

Stipend: Allowance of $100/week, plus food allowance

Ecumenical: Yes, but primarily Episcopalian

Length of Program: August through May. 2 weeks vacation and personal retreat days.
