The Refugee Resettlement and Immigration Services of Atlanta (RRISA) is an affiliate of Episcopal Migration Services. RRISA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to provide quality resettlement to refugees by engaging churches in the ministry of “welcoming strangers” from around the world. This year, RRISA engaged 25 churches in co-sponsoring and an additional 30 churches from six denominations in supporting the resettlement process for the arriving 350 refugees.
An additional 1000 refugees, asylees, and victims of trafficking are assisted through RRISA’s Social Adjustment, Information and Referral Services, Interpretation and Translation Services, Citizenship and Naturalization, Family Health and the Healthy Families Programs, Support Groups, After-school and Summer Camp Program, Employment and Employment Upgrade Services, Cuban/Haitian Program, Elderly Program, ESOL Mother and Children Program and assisting ethnic communities in creating Mutual Assistance Associations.
