General Convention is a mind-blowing experience. For those who are first experiencing it (like me), it's even more of an amazing time. In fact, the first day's already happened, and my head is spinning like crazy. There are so many people here, so many cultures, so many different ideas, stances, languages, and accents. For this girl from Middle America, it's simply incredible. I'm sure I've gotten mixed around so many times that it's becoming the routine.
What makes this even more incredible (especially to me), is that I'm a recent "convert" to the Episcopal Church. I grew up in a different denomination which had get-togethers, but never on such a grand scale as the Episcopal Church.
