The Life of an Alternate

Tuesday was my first day on the floor of the House of Deputies. I took my seat next to the other members of my deputation and, with the help of a friend, put my book into something resembling order. First add in pages 1 through 20, then add 21 through 33, but not before replacing page 17 (which is really three pages). Some pages move to the back, thers to the front. Some things have no specific section and everything is color coded. I felt completely lost.
