AN UPDATE...
In January, 2009 the Trustees of the Colleges and Universities of the Anglican Communion decided to suspend publication of the Journal Prologue, citing costs of both publication and distribution as chief factors. It had been hoped that the fifth issue (2009) would  publish the papers of the 2008 International Triennial Conference held at Chung Chi College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong . Publication of the main addresses of the Conference has already occurred in Vol . 10:1 of Compass Points, and précis summaries of papers presented at the Conference will be published in future issues of Compass Points.

The first issue of Prologue was published in 1999, consisting of four essays, two addresses, two book reviews, two short and an interview.

The second issue was published in 2000 with six articles, one address, and one book review.

The third issue was published in 2002 with four articles and two addresses.

The fourth and final issue was published in 2005 with  nine articles. This issue is available on-line (see above).

Reprints of all issues are available for a nominal fee plus international postage.

The
Mission and Purpose of Prologue was described as follows:

Founded in 1993, the Colleges and Universities of the Anglican Communion is a worldwide association of over 100 institutions of higher education network that were founded by or retain ties to a branch of the Anglican Communion.  The refereed Journal Prologue focuses on the issues, trends, opportunities, and challenges of international Anglican higher education.  With contributors and readers on five continents, Prologue offers diverse perspectives on the unique mission of church related colleges and universities throughout the world.
