Born Marietta, Georgia.  Rector St. Luke's, Washington.  Strong advocate for youth Ministry and community organization.  Consecrated Bishop Coadjutor of Liberia 1961; Diocesan 1964.  Vigorous fundraiser and developer of schools and parishes in outlying areas.  Assassinated, along with four members of the diocesan staff, November 19, 1969.
