Called to Common Mission Archives 1998 - mid 1999
"ELCA Update" to the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church
I am feeling more than a little bit out of my element to be in this spot on the agenda! The "official" folk for this task - Dan Martensen and David Perry - are not at this meeting and this is no "official" type of report! I do not feel qualified to characterize or speak for the ELCA, and what follows are mostly my own interpretations of what I've seen and heard.
Called to Common Mission:
A letter from Martin Marty
to the ELCA Church Council and voting members of synodical assemblies, November 1998
