We must support essential diocesan ministries until they can be self-sufficient once again. The Diocese of Louisiana has been especially hard-hit in this regard. Churches destroyed by Katrina are unable to give to the diocese at the same levels as in the past; without outside support, many ministries simply cannot continue. Ministries threatened by Katrina include college campus ministries like the Episcopal chaplaincy at Tulane School of Medicine, youth and adult ministries at the Solomon Episcopal Conference Center, and many others.
