Treasure Magazine is created by children, for children and for families. Edited by adults who provide a leaders guide for family use we have discovered that congregations often share Treasure Magazine during a four or five week special intergenerational study, Vacation Bible School, and as a supplement for Church School. Families often share Treasure Magazine as a weekly family activity during Lent or Advent or to prepare for a special celebration.

The purpose of the magazine is to share the prophetic voice of children; their hopes and dreams for the world in which they live. Most particularly we invite children to speak of their relationship to God and Christ in their vision of the world. Treasure magazine also shares the mission of the Church in a variety of locations around the world and in the Episcopal Church United States of America. Many of Treasure Magazine editions contain content for children in geographic areas in which the National Council of Churches for Christ have created adult resource materials including video tapes, study guides and opportunities for mission.
