The State of the World's Children as Seen Through Their Own Eyes

The children who attended the United Nation's Special Session on the Rights of the Child worked together to create a manifesto, a public declaration of their motives and intentions.

This manifesto began by proclaiming the identity of its authors as the children of the world.
It continued by outlining the realities of their present situations and
their need for all adults to act on their behalf.
The manifesto then concluded by sharing their hopes for the future.

The children's intent in writing this manifesto was to make the world
understand that "a world fit for children is a world fit for everyone."
United by their struggle to make the world a better place for all, the children proclaimed the following.

The children who wrote this are just like you and I.
This what they want for the world. What do you want for the world?
What are your hopes for the future?
Talk to your family members about these hopes. Talk to your friends.
