Kanokhorn Purksalit attended the Special Session on Children as a representative from Thailand. She participated in the Children�s Forum where she met children from all over the world. She is President of her Student Council in Poqet, the biggest island in Thailand. She was excited to be in New York and was honored to represent her country. For her, the most important issues she would like the world to address are education for all and child labor rights. In Thailand, teachers now work with parents to convince them that it is more beneficial for children to continue their education and postpone their entry into work. This is especially important for girls. Many families do not value girls as much as boys, so do not think they have a right to an education too.
