
Minneapolis to host National Network of Episcopal Clergy Association conference
Keynote speakers will include Northwestern Pennsylvania Bishop Sean W. Rowe and Spokane Bishop James E. Waggoner.
Rowe is a graduate of Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania, and Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia. Prior to his election as bishop, he served seven years as rector of St. John's Episcopal Church in Franklin, Pennsylvania.
Waggoner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marshall University and Master of Divinity, Doctor of Ministry, and Doctor of Divinity degrees from the Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia. Before entering seminary, he served in the U.S. Navy for six years and as director of a Community Action Child Development program. Prior to his election as bishop, Waggoner served 21 years in the Diocese of West Virginia, 12 in parish ministry and nine on the bishop's staff as canon to the ordinary, congregational and community consultant, and deployment officer.
In addition to the keynote addresses, a series of workshops will feature representatives from the Episcopal Church Center and the Church Pension Fund.

The NNECA was founded in 1970 by clergy from all over the United States who wanted to take responsibility for their ministries and to support one another as colleagues. Its mission is to "seek, serve, and proclaim Christ by leading clergy in the Episcopal Church into collegial relationships for education, self-care, advocacy, and spiritual growth."
