Targeted Countries

NetsforLife is a partnership to control and prevent malaria in sub-Saharan Africa. This three-year program, currently active in eight countries, is working with local Anglican churches and ecumenical organizations in 15 expanding to 18 countries by 2009. Angola

NetsforLife® is partnering with the Diocese of Angola, part of the Church of the Province of Southern Africa consisting of 26 parishes and 4,800 Anglican congregants. The diocese is a vital partner in tackling the country’s most urgent health care issues—malaria prevention, HIV/AIDS prevention, clean water and sanitation, nutrition and primary health care.

Botswana

NetsforLife® is partnering with the Diocese of Botswana, part of the Church of the Province of Central Africa. The diocese has taken a leading role in caring for people dying from HIV/AIDS and supporting families and orphans.

Burundi
NetsforLife® is partnering with the Eglise Anglicane du Burundi. The program is working in communities in the northern regions of the country—the highlands—where drought and food shortages have contributed to the increase of malaria in the area.

Democratic Republic of Congo
NetsforLife® is partnering with the Diocese of Katanga. The program is working in five districts of the DR Congo:  Kalemie, Lubumbashi, Kasumbalesa, and Kapolowe, and Katanga.

Ghana

NetsforLife® is partnering with the Anglican Diocese of Tamale, located in the northern region of the country. The diocese’s development goals are focused on reducing poverty, food insecurity, malnutrition, HIV/AIDS, and malaria.

Liberia

NetsforLife® is partnering with the Diocese of Liberia, which is part of the Church of the Province of West Africa. In the aftermath of the civil war, the diocese is focusing on supporting communities in need of the basics – food, clean water and sanitation, health care, and education.
