Two members of the Gospel Choir of the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas, Philadelphia (founded by Absalom Jones in 1794) walk towards the front of the Cathedral before the service. The band SOL, with Sandra Montes on leading vocals, as well as the combined Choirs of the Washington National Cathedral, offered and led music during the Investiture Service.
