Linking with Anglican women and their work around the world...
,
Published in the Eastertide 2005 edition of Anglican World (Issue 117, pages 14-17), this article reports on the work and journey of Anglican women from around the Communion and around the globe to the 49th Session of the United Nations 49th meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women.

,
The ministry of the Anglican Observer is essentially to knock at the doors of the United Nations and of government missions on the concerns of the Anglican Communion. Essentially this requires working together in partnership with appropriate Non Government Organizations (NGOs) and UN agencies. On the other hand the office wishes to keep the Communion informed about United Nations initiatives and how they could benefit from, or be effective partners to UN programmes.

,
At the meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council on June 19-28, 2005 in Nottingham, England, the members of the ACC passed a resolution in response to the work and report of the ACC Provincial Delegation to the 49th UN Commission on the Status of Women in 2005.  View this important document to see how the Anglican Communion envisions the ever-growing and changing role of women in the Church.

A speech delivered at the annual conference of the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross on August 2, 2005 by Phoebe Griswold.

The Network seeks to be a transforming agent for the Church as it links Anglican women world-wide through communication and prayer, is a forum for determining issues critical to the spiritual and physical well-being of women, advocates for change through the Anglican Consultative Council and the Lambeth Conference of Bishops, and links with advocacy groups in church and society.

,
The Mothers’ Union is a Christian organisation which promotes the well-being of families worldwide.  They achieve this by: developing prayer and spiritual growth in families, studying and reflecting on family life and marriage and their place in society, and resourcing our members to take practical action to improve conditions for families, both nationally and in the communities in which they live.

,
The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) was established as a functional commission of the Economic and Social Council by Council resolution 11(II) of 21 June 1946 to prepare recommendations and reports to the Council on promoting women's rights in political, economic, civil, social and educational fields. The Commission also makes recommendations to the Council on urgent problems requiring immediate attention in the field of women's rights. The object of the Commission is to promote implementation of the principle that men and women shall have equal rights.

,
Women’s Ministries is the Office at the Episcopal Church Center that supports women in the Episcopal Church and the wider world.  This office works collaboratively with women’s organizations in the Church, other program and ministry groups at the Episcopal Church Center, global and local networks working for gender justice, as well as individual women within and outside of traditional church structures.
