Candidates invited for Director of Mission position

[Episcopal News Service] Resumes are now invited for the position of Director of Mission for the Episcopal Church.

According to the posting, the Director of Mission, a senior position in the Domestic and Foreign Mission Society (DFMS), "will lead and oversee the staff in designing and carrying out Church mission programs based upon General Convention directives."  Additionally, "the Director is responsible for the effective implementation of the mission priorities of the Episcopal Church."

The Director, based at the Church Center in New York City, will be responsible for "articulating the vision of the Church in response to mission priorities, advising the Presiding Bishop, and providing leadership and oversight to the staff of the Office for Mission."

The Director is a member of the Presiding Bishop's Executive Oversight Group.

Deadline to submit resumes and related materials is Thursday, January 31, 2008.
