NORTHWEST TEXAS: Nomination process opens for next bishop
September 25, 2007A nominating/transition committee is now accepting nominations for the 5th bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northwest Texas (http://www.nwt.org/).
The deadline for receipt of nominations is November 15. On-site visits will be scheduled in January/February 2008. The electing convention will convene on May 3, 2008 with the consecration service scheduled for November 2, 2008.
A diocesan profile and nomination forms will soon be available at the diocesan website.
The bishop-elect will succeed Wallis Ohl, who announced April 25 his intention to retire, effective November 2, 2008.
The Diocese of Northwest Texas comprises approximately 8,700 Episcopalians worshipping in 38 congregations.
