"If you feel it's too unprofessional try LinkedIn," writes the former Executive Council member in an e-mail to colleagues. "Encourage your fellow church members to get up there as well and link in their friends and associates. Within a few days, you'll be able to browse through not just the congregation, but all their friends who may not be attending church. Not only that, but you will have information about their interests and who the best person is to contact all these people who are one degree of separation away from joining the flock.
"If it works for rock bands, why aren't you letting it work for Jesus?" she asks. (Be aware that some material posted on MySpace may not meet everyone's approval.)
