UTO 2005 Grants

In 2005 the United Thank Offering Committee approved 131 grants totaling $2,710,247.22. Grants will fund projects and programs which meet compelling human needs and/or expand the mission and ministry of the church.

The average grant amount was $20,689. The largest grant, $85,000, went to the Church in Brazil for a sustainability project. Two other large grants, each for $80,000, went for building projects in the Diocese of Springfield and the Diocese of the Dominican Republic. Each United Thank Offering grant, large or small, is in response to needs identified by dioceses and provinces throughout the Anglican Communion.
