A once in a lifetime, international, ecumenical event sponsored and subsidized by the Anglican Church of Aotearoa, New Zealand, and Polynesia and the Office of Congregational Development of the Episcopal Church in the United States. 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? 
Registration is open to members of the Anglican Communion and all ecumenical partners with a commitment to sharing the Good News. 

It is expected that participation will include attendees from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the United States, and more.

The first three days focus on concerns particularly relevant to parish, diocesan, and judicatory leaders.  Attendance during the first three days is limited to 80 registrants in order to support a seminar format which allows time for discussion. 

The Saturday “Laity and Clergy Festival Day” is designed for BOTH the clergy/professional leadership and the full congregation membership.  You will be offered a wide variety of workshops addressing aspects of congregational growth and vitality, including advertising, new member incorporation, space and buildings, music, as well as duplication of some key presentations made earlier in the week.  This day is designed for EVERY member of the congregation: teenagers, musicians, innovators, visionaries, planners, pragmatists, counsel members, sage advisors, party coordinators, liturgists, techno geeks, artists, biblical scholars, and all who have a curiosity about ways to share the Good News.

COST: 
As a gift to our common ministry the seminar is subsidized by the Anglican Church of Aotearoa/New Zealand and the Episcopal Church USA.  The Anglican Church of Aotearoa/New Zealand is covering the cost of organizing the meeting and is hosting the on-site costs of the presenters.  The Episcopal Church USA is covering the presenting staff’s travel expenses, who offer their services without compensation.  Your registration fee will cover the seminar site costs and group meals.

Full Seminar Registration fee : NZ $300*
Includes lunch, tea breaks, and meeting-site costs for all 4 days.  Dinner will be provided on Friday, after which we will gather for an evening worship service.

USA:  US $195

Laity & Clergy Festival Single-Day Registration (Saturday Feb. 17 only):
NZ $75

Registration Process:

  1. Download and complete the registration form
    In order to ensure adequate seating, please pre-register for the Festival Day workshops of your choice.  Sessions will run concurrently, some to be repeated in the afternoon session.  In the event your selection is under or oversubscribed you will be notified and offered alternatives.

  2. Save the form and send it as an attachment via e-mail to: sobrien@episcopalchurch.org

In order to support a seminar format attendance is limited to 80 at the Wednesday-Friday sessions.  Register early to ensure your space.  If you wish a space to be held while you prepare the registration form and fee, or to verify availability, e-mail sobrien@episcopalchurch.org.  Enrollment will be confirmed via e-mail.

February 15, Thursday:   Seminar meets 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
February 16, Friday:      Seminar meets 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. /Dinner/  7:00 p.m. Worship Service
February 17, Saturday: Laity and Clergy Festival Day 8:30-4:30pm

Commuters are asked to arrive on time for all sessions.

The seminar will be held at the lovely Holy Trinity Cathedral, situated in the suburb of Parnell, about 2 kilometers from the heart of Auckland.
