Septemberâs film (9/20)is Walt Disneyâs masterwork, Fantasia. Eight animated segments set to the music of composers Tchaikovsky, Moussorgsky, Stravinsky, Beethoven, Ponchielli, Bach, Dukas, and Schubert burst forth with breathtaking color in this film featuring dancing hippos and ostriches; dinosaurs, centaurs, unicorns and fairies; and Mickey Mouse as one very naughty sorcererâs apprentice.
Octoberâs film (10/18) is James and the Giant Peach, an animated tale adapted from a story by Roald Dahl of a mistreated English orphan who crosses the Atlantic Ocean in an enormous magical peach filled with oversized, talking insects for companions. Younger children may find some scenes scary.
