Laymen’s Club trip to Pacem In Terris

Saturday, September 28, 2013

You are invited to join The Laymen’s Club for a trip to Orange County and Pacem In Terris on September 28. Don’t miss out on this great trip to the upper parts of our diocese. In addition to an opportunity for real fellowship, the trip gives us an insight into the origins of our region and introduces us more fully to the art of someone who has exhibited at the Cathedral and been a part of a search for peace and human spirituality for the past century.

On Saturday, Sept 28th, we will depart in front of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine at 9:45am for a guided tour of the Monroe Museum Village, a restored 19th Century village, followed by a boxed lunch. Then, we proceed to Warwick, NY, to visit Pacem In Terris, the estate of late sculptor Frederick Frank, whose “seven Generations” sculpture can be found on the Cathedral Close. Frederick’s son will speak to us directly during the visit. We return to the Cathedral in late afternoon. The cost is $60/person. More details online.
