(Friday dinner – Sunday lunch)
Ruth, Naomi, Abigail, Tamar, Judith, Anna, Mary the mother of Jesus—many of the Bible’s remarkable women are widows. Their stories touch upon the common human experiences of loss, companionship, and wrestling with God. You are invited to discover how their stories resonate with your experience and become a resource for spiritual reflection and personal prayer. The weekend will include meditative teaching, Bible study, viewing of art, and small group conversation. You also will receive guidance about establishing Ruth and Naomi Circles, or support groups for widows. You will discover the saving health of praying your life in parallel with the stories of Biblical widows.
