The Protestant Chaplaincy at Tufts University is an interdenominational and radically welcoming community of students, faculty and staff.
The chaplaincy focuses on worship, fellowship, spiritual formation, outreach and student leadership development. Its 7 p.m. Sunday worship reflects its diversity. Services are led by Rachael Pettengill-Rasure or the Rev. Noah Evans, from the chaplaincy’s sponsoring parish, Grace Episcopal Church in Medford. Local ministers from other Protestant denominations are often invited to lead services as well. S
tudents also are encouraged and empowered to be the leaders of the community, from organizing volunteer outreach and fellowship events to leading Bible studies and weekly Noonday Prayer.
