The Episcopal Church Office of Communication is offering a full month of multimedia programming featuring favorite Advent observations and traditional liturgies.

Beginning with an Advent Reflection by Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori, the multimedia offerings include Lessons and Carols, a St. Nicholas celebration, and a Christmas Pageant.

The multimedia offerings are available here: http://www.episcopalchurch.org/Advent2009/

“The Advent season abounds with rich Christian traditions and favorite Episcopal practices,” commented Anne Rudig, Director of Communication. “Through multimedia, members of our church and beyond can enjoy and share in these wonderful offerings.”

“We looked at the landscape of New York City Episcopal churches, and felt strongly that sharing the music and worship with the wider church would add to everyone”s Advent experiences,” Mike Collins, director of digital media explained. “We are grateful to Grace Church as we are airing the Children”s Christmas Pageant live, and we are honored to include the Christmas Eve Service from the Diocese of Atlanta from 2008.”

The multimedia offerings will be available 24 hours a day, and will remain available throughout the Advent and Christmas seasons.
