Navigating the Healthcare System: The Affordable Care Act

Presenter: Jill Pavka, Executive Director of St. Peter's Free Clinic

In this changing world of healthcare, finding the appropriate resources for healthcare can be challenging for underserved populations. We will identify the underserved and uninsured population; explore the resources available for underserved and uninsured populations; examine the rationale for providing healthcare to all, not just as our obligation as Christians but to provide for a healthier nation; and discuss how healthcare reform will/might affect these populations.

Participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the underserved and uninsured population.
  2. Identify resources available for underserved and uninsured populations.
  3. Discuss and examine the rationale for providing healthcare to all.
  4. Discuss how healthcare reform will/might affect these populations.

Jill is the Executive Director at St. Peter's Free Clinic and the Diocesan Liaison for Michigan.

CEUs available! For participants who attend the complete webinar and fill out the post-event survey, 1 CEU will be awarded. There is a $10 processing fee if you opt in to receive CEUs.
