Lorraine C. Miller, Interim President and CEO of the NAACP, will deliver the keynote address for the gathering. Members of UBE and friends will meet to celebrate successes, encourage the next generation, and re-engage for the work at hand.
Although each conference is unique, some elements have become a constant. Free time has been built into the conference schedule to allow participants the opportunity to explore Atlantic City. Under the theme “Renewing our Commitment to the Work and Ministry of Social Justice” the five-day assembly will feature numerous workshops, Youth Explosion, Young Adult Encounter, Multi-Generational Reunion, Partners in Mission, and the honoring of four individuals - The Rev. Canon Edward W. Rodman, L.H.D., Nell Braxton Gibson, The Rev. Harold T. Lewis, Ph.D., and Dr. Anita Parrott George - who have been forerunners in the Ministry of Social Justice.
