Episcopal Center at Duke University

The Rev. Nils Chittenden

At the end of our celebration of Holy Eucharist, we're sent into the world "to love and serve the Lord." That's our mission and it's something we can do every day, in every part of our lives.

As part of that mission, the Episcopal Center has an active history of service to its neighbors, both locally and globally. Students have worked with the shelter for battered women and children, in local schools, on Habitat for Humanity projects, and on hunger projects such as the CROP Walk.

In addition, every year we plan mission trips to places ranging from the mountains of North Carolina to Costa Rica and Honduras. In all of those places, near and far, we seek to love and serve the Lord by loving and serving our neighbors.
