Because God's grace precedes anything we can do, people who would engage God's mission must first receive his love and acceptance through Christ. That act of receiving then becomes the basis for our receiving each other, first as brothers and sisters in the church, the Body of Christ, and also of receiving and welcoming those who do not yet know God's grace. The attitude of being receptive - to God's call, direction, will and knowledge - opens us to the fullness of God's mission in all of it's diversity and richness.
