What about Interfaith Relations?
- Dr. Tom Ferguson
«Return
The Episcopal Church has had active dialogues with Buddhists, Muslims, Jews, and Native American traditions through our work in the National Council of Churches in Christ USA and the World Council of Churches. We have also actively worked with Jewish organizations in the U.S. on matters of common concern, like peace in the Middle East. Realizing that many people simply lack knowledge about other faiths, the Interfaith Education Initiative (IEI) was started as part of the Episcopal Church's response to the attacks of September 11th. This project is producing resources to help people understand how the church has been involved in interfaith relations and how it has responded to religious diversity within its communities.
Dr. Tom Ferguson is Associate Deputy, Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations
