Have the Lutherans and Episcopalians merged?
- Dr. Tom Ferguson
«Return
No, Lutherans and Episcopalians have not merged. “Called to Common Mission” is an agreement between the Episcopal Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (or ELCA) one of several Lutheran denominations in the U.S. The two churches remain separate, but clergy from either church can serve in the other, and pledge to work together in areas of common concern.
