Anglicanism came to Taiwan from Chinese Anglicans escaping from the mainland and from Taiwan’s links to the United States. American military chaplains provided much of the early Anglican leadership in Taiwan, and this is the historical reason we are linked to the Anglican Communion through ECUSA.
