Media Policies and Guidelines for General Convention 2009

Offsite (distant) media credentials are designed to allow access to briefings, media conferences, interviews and other services for credentialed media who are unable to attend the 76th General Convention of the Episcopal Church.

Media can apply for onsite or offsite (distant) credentials. Application for media credentials is here:  http://www.episcopalchurch.org/newsline.htm

With offsite (distant) credentials, media will be able to participate in various ways:

• Submit questions via email during the live webcasts of daily and special media briefings and media conferences.
• Listen via phone link-up to daily and special media briefings and media conferences and submit questions via email.
• Receive (as available) texts of statements, presentations and speeches via email.
• Receive notifications as issued.
• Request arrangements for over-the-phone interviews through Media Operations Office.  Arrangements as best as possible will be made.
• Access to the same resources (photos, videos, etc.) as media in attendance.

An on-site coordinator for offsite (distant) media credentials will be on hand to provide assistance and to serve as a liaison for those who are credentialed.
